			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I was up again this morning ready to have a great workout.  I started out with a Kettle Bell class.  It felt good, my muscles were burning and my heart rate was up.  I have come to realize it is not how fast I do a move but how accurate I do the move&#8230;.I am going to try to be more slow and controlled.  I then head to an x-biking class.  Today seemed hard than most, I think because my muscles were tired from the earlier workout and a little sore from yesterday.</p>
<p>My eating is still going well:</p>
<p>Breakfast; yogurt</p>
<p>Lunch; ham, cheese, pickle, carrots, and 1/2 apple   ( I am craving something sweet&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;be strong)</p>
<p>Dinner; soup at hand, carrots, 1/2 apple</p>
<p>Snacks; chocolate pudding cup (60 cal) nuts, 5 crackers</p>

<p>Hello, I am back.  I know you have missed me, well I have started missing myself; my healthy, fit self.  It has been a little over a year since I have blogged and boy do I have a lot to say.  I have completed 2 tri-sprints, 1 half marathon, and several 5 k&#8217;s.  I have loved every minute of it but I have become complacent.  I continued to work out almost everyday, I just lacked the intensity.  Each day I would allow new and unhealthy foods back into my diet.  These two components are the real reason I am back to blogging.</p>
<p>Okay now for some hard numbers.  I have gained 19 lbs. from my lowest.  This is quite disturbing, appalling, and not surprising.  Most of my life I knew that in order to be at a healthy weight I need to make good food choices, this is not rocket science, but I  fell into the trap of &#8220;working out&#8221;.  Working out is a big component of it but it is only part of the big picture.  I can&#8217;t have my cake and eat it too, because you know I like cake.</p>
<p>So today I sit here starting all over&#8230; I am embarrassed, and disappointed in myself, but I am ready to go at this again.</p>
<p>This morning I was up early ready to face my new start.  I hit the pool with a strong 1600 swim.  I was tired and out of breath, something I hadn&#8217;t felt in a while.  I then got on the treadmill to run 1 mile.  I know it doesn&#8217;t sound like much but I want to set short achievable goals with great intensity.  So 1 mile at 6.5 pace (9:13) and I felt good about it.  Then I did 3 supersets (basically it is an arm, leg, and an ab) then repeat&#8230;.three different sets two times each.</p>
<p>I finished the morning with 2 ab moves, (heels to heaven, and scissors)</p>
<p>Great 1st morning work out.  I am motivated and excited.</p>
<p>Breakfast; Yogurt (80 calories)</p>
<p>Lunch; 4 ham slices, pickle spear, baby bell cheese, baby carrots, and 1/2 apple</p>
<p>Dinner; steamed peas, carrots, banana, 1/2 apple, yogurt,</p>
<p>Snacks; sugar-free pudding, orange, walnuts</p>

<p>Today was hard to get motivated to workout&#8230;&#8230;.my trainer told me in the beginning never to take  of 2 days off in a row, well I broke the rule and now understand the rule&#8230;once you get out your routine it is so hard to get back.</p>
<p>I swam a 1600&#8230;. it felt good, I actually felt fast in the water today&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;we then did about 40 min. on the x- bike and I finished up with some ab work.  I burned right around 600 calories&#8230;&#8230;..I think tomorrow I need to pick up my intensity level.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Day 115  Swam a 1600 and ran 5 miles on the treadmill.  I actually felt good running, I didn&#8217;t seem to get as bored as I have in the past.   I also attended a boot camp class later in the evening, I needed to do an extra workout because I got into a bag of Halloween candy, and it was not pretty.</p>
<p>Day 116&#8230;.today I did a long run with my trainer and her friend ( she is a marathon runner)&#8230;we ran in Riverview Park.  Everytime I thought we were heading back to our cars we would head down another path.  We ended up running 6.275 miles&#8230;.in about 54 min.  It is amazing what your body can do when it is pushed.</p>
<p>Day 117&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;today I completed my first Mock Tri-Athelon.  We swam a 1200(non-stop).. a little bit more than a normal tri, then we ran to the bikes and biked for 30 min. and then off to the treadmill for a 3 mile run&#8230;.I finished the entire thing in 1 hour and 28 min.  It was a little longer that a real one, but it game me a good idea what to expect.  I burned about 850 calories.</p>
<p>Day 118&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;leaving for vacation today, but I did make time to workout, I must say it was not my best workout but it was a workout.  I swam and did a circuit.</p>
<p>Day 119&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..Day off&#8230;&#8230;.on vacation, stayed up until 3:30 last night, therefore I did not get up to workout&#8230;..too tired.</p>
<p>Day 120&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.Day off&#8230;oh my this is my second day off in a row.  This is the first time I have taken 2 days off in a row&#8230;&#8230;on the road traveling back from vacation&#8230;&#8230;..ate fast food twice today, boy do I feel gross.</p>

		<title>Day 112,113 Day off and a run outside</title>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Saturday&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;I took today off.  I did go downtown to the Folk Life Festival and we bought almost 1 of everything. The best part was that I only took 1 bite of everything.  Pork Burger, Cheese Soup, Rootbeer, Beer Bread, Fish Sandwich&#8230;.then my husband and I went out to dinner and a movie.  It was so fun to have date night.  We went out for sushi&#8230;..I did really well, I think I only ate 5 pieces, and then of course we had to get popcorn at the theater.</p>
<p>Sunday&#8230;..up and off to church and then out to breakfast.  I have learned not to order my own meal but clean my kids plates when they are finished.  Because on a normal situation I would order my own meal and finish their plates until I was just miserable.  So again I was proud of myself and not over doing it at breakfast.  I later met up my sister in laws and ran 4 miles outside&#8230;.it was windy and my pants kept falling down but other than that it felt good to run outside.  I finished in 35:53.  I  was very pleased with that time considering there were several hills.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Okay sooooooo it is getting harder and harder to post everyday.  It seems like either I don&#8217;t have time or I don&#8217;t make time.  So I will probably start posting 3-4 times a week combining days.</p>
<p>Wed.   I swam 1600 endurance&#8230;..I swam 100 warm up, 100 pull, 100 kick, 100 swim, and then a ladder 50, 100, 150, 200, 150, 100, 50  and then a 100 kick, 100 pull, 100 swim, and 2&#215;50 for my cool down.  We then joined an x-biking class for 30 min.</p>
<p>Thursday&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..ughh my legs felt like bricks.  I swam a 1600 and was then supposed to run 4 miles on the treadmill.  What was going on with me?  It was so hard to run, my legs felt heavy, I didn&#8217;t know if I was going to be able to finish 2 miles.  Well I did finish 3 miles but not 4.  This was the first time I had the feeling of &#8220;I can&#8217;t&#8221; It is frustrating to want to do something but your body just not be ready to do it.   So I was done for the day.</p>
<p>Friday&#8230; sleepy, sleepy, my alarm went off at 4:30 a.m. and I pushed the snooze button.  I had decided to sleep in and take today off.  As the day went on my eating habits got worse and worse.  I had made these chocolate mint cake squares&#8230;I was going to just have 1-2&#8230;..well, that was wishful thinking.  By the time 4:00 p.m. had rolled around I had eaten 10-12.  Really????  My husband had asked my how many I had, and I told him 10-12 and he didn&#8217;t believe me.  He doesn&#8217; t understand how I could have eaten so many.  I told him that I had to finish the pan so that I wouldn&#8217;t be tempted anymore.  He doesn&#8217;t understand that either.   By 8:00p.m. I was starting to feel guilty about my poor eating and my lack of exercising so I decided to head to the gym.  Do you think anybody  class=&#8221;hiddenSpellError&#8221; pre=&#8221;anybody &#8220;&gt;worksout on  a Friday night at 8:45 p.m. ?    Well no, I had the gym to myself.  I ran 3 miles on the treadmill, I biked 20 mins. and lifted for 15 min.  I was able to burn 600 calories by 10:00 p.m.  Oh I felt so much better and was glad that I made the effort to go to the gym.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yes I  am now referencing myself as a Clone of a Cinnabon.  See I have this obsession with baking&#8230;.I consider myself a pretty good baker, however I can&#8217;t make yeast breads.  I can&#8217;t seem to get my yeast to activate.  So today I challenged myself, I was going to make cinnamon rolls&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;and they are going to rise!  Well I try out my first package of yeast and nothing, nothing happens, so I throw it away and start again.  This time the yeast starts to get creamy looking and slighty bubbles.  Humm, do I try it or throw it out and start yet again?  I decided to take a chance and make the rolls.  Okay they did rise, but I still have some fine tuning to do &#8230;&#8230;.( too much cinnamon and sugar mixture)</p>
<p>So why am I challenging myself on yeast breads instead of making better food choices?  Ughhhhh I exhaust myself, I am my own worst enemy.</p>
<p>Well, my workout was great&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.I ran a 5 mile speed workout&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..pace 6.5 for the first mile, and then bumped it up to 7.0 for a quarter of a mile, then back down to 6.5 &#8230;..then to 7.1&#8230;..and so on and so on.  I finished 5 miles in 44:00 min.  I then got in the pool to swim&#8230;&#8230;..wow!!!!   Someone forgot to take the bricks off of my legs.  It was so hard to swim, it is crazy how much of a difference it makes to swim 2nd rather than 1st.  So after swimming I treated myself to 5 min. in the hot tub!!!!!!!!!!!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well today is weigh in day&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.and&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.. I was up 2 lbs&#8230;..yes I said up.  I knew my time was coming when I would have a gain rather than a loss.  I was disappointed but not surprised.  I didn&#8217;t eat and drink the best over the past week so it wasn&#8217;t a complete surprise that I didn&#8217;t lose weight this week.</p>
<p>Workout:  I swam a 1600 endurance&#8230;&#8230;.then we hop onto the treadmill.  My trainer told me to run 3-4 miles at a constant pace.  So I set my pace at 6.5 (9:13) mile pace.  I got to 3 miles&#8230;.I kind of wanted to stop after 3 but my trainer didn&#8217;t stop so I kept going.. I slowly kept increasing my pace so that I would finish faster&#8230;..I couldn&#8217;t be the one to stop first.  So after 4 miles I was finally able to stop&#8230;.I finished in 35:00 min.</p>
<p>We then did an 8 min. circuit workout&#8230;&#8230;..boy 8 min. is not very long, but it sure is a workout.</p>
<p>I burned a total of 800 calories.  I am off to a good start for the week.</p>

I had never eaten there before.  It was really good and I think I did pretty well&#8230;.I know if we had gone to a different restaurant I would have eaten a lot more&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;</p>
<p>Friday:  A day off&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..remember I went to the MU football game&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;well we didn&#8217;t get home until 3 am and I was not heading in the gym&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.I had daycare kids show up at 7:15 am and that was rough.</p>
<p>Saturday:  Off to the Lake of the Ozarks&#8230;&#8230;.it&#8217;s a girl weekend.  I know this weekend was going to be tough&#8230;.We start of eating at Chili&#8217;s&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..I order an appetizer sampler&#8230;&#8230;as soon as I got my meal I asked for a box and put half of my meal in the box so it would be out of my site.  We then head off to a day of shopping&#8230;&#8230;..we shopped for 5 hours, I had to have burned some calories.  So we finish up shopping and head back to the condo.  I had not worked out yesterday and from the beginning my trainer told me to never take more than 1 day off in a row.  So I had to get a workout in.  I put on my running shoes and ran from the condo to the outlet mall&#8230;I am not sure how far it was but it took me about 23:00.  So if I were to guess I would say 2.5 miles.  Back from my workout it was time to get ready to go out for the night&#8230;&#8230;.Oh boy&#8230;. I did not eat my calories but I did drink my calories&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;let&#8217;s just say I had a good time.</p>
<p>Sunday:  Time to head home and see my boys&#8230;.before we leave we stop in at Bob Evan&#8217;s&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.pancakes here I come&#8230;.well I only at half so I didn&#8217;t completely ruin my day.  When I got home I headed to the gym, swam a 1600 and then lifted  pretty hard.</p>
